As the first mobile engineer hired at Hype, I planned, designed, built, tested, and shipped the v1 app in under six months. After three additional months of iteration and improvements, the app was generating enough revenue to become profitable.
Discovery is the most critical feature for memecoin traders. Data must be real-time and accurate, any delay or error can cost thousands. I proposed a Firebase Realtime Database backed by a Node.js service that ingests webhook updates and propagates changes to connected clients within 200ms.
For trade execution, users get an intuitive interface: enter a dollar amount and tap Buy/Sell. Under the hood, a distributed system of web services, WebSockets, real-time data stores, and execution algorithms assembles and submits blockchain transactions in milliseconds.
After months of focused work, Hype has become a highly advanced mobile crypto trading platform, delivering high performance and professional-grade tools for traders of all levels. In its first six months of monetization, the app generated over $1M in revenue.
